Betting inspiration

At the time of writing this, we couldn’t find any “BetYourWay” specials we liked the look of. Naturally, we requested our own bet.

We have gone for a Draw, BTTS + Over 2.5 cards priced at 6/1.

England are very strong at Wembley but drew 2-2 against Spain in their last meeting back in 2016. There was a total of six yellow cards in that match, and we can see there being a fair few in this match too.

Spain are without their star wind-up merchant Diego Costa for this match. But, they have the option of Morata or Iago Aspas who has impressed for Spain and Celta Vigo. Spain have not lost in 15 of their last away matches and will be tough to beat this Saturday. Even with key players like Iniesta, Pique and Silva all retiring from international football.

A new generation of talented players in Isco and Asensio could prove solid replacements in that department. There are some big changes in this Spanish team, but they still have talent in abundance.

England are coming off the back of a wonderful World Cup journey and will be full of hope and confidence going into this match. We are still in a growing phase though and will need to try and build on the WC performances.

England are certainly a threat from set-pieces, with Trippier’s pinpoint deliveries and Maguire’s giant head, we could create real danger against a relatively small Spanish side.

When England have faced good opposition in Italy, Brazil, Germany and Spain in recent years at Wembley, they have all ended in draws. England could pinch this game with their threat from set-pieces, but we do see Spain getting on the scoresheet. Hence the BTTS draw tip.
