Jordan Speith: Defending champion with all the skills to win another. He didn’t make the cut at the U.S Open and will be motivated to better that performance.
Rory McIlroy: A four-time majors champion that last won the British Open in 2014. He had a poor showing at the U.S open, but, he has finished in the top five for the last two years in the British Open. A player of his talent is long overdue for another major win.
Tiger Woods: A name that still manages to excite golf fans all around the world. Tiger has won the British Open three times but he is obviously not that same golfer. He is, however, in good form going into the tournament. Tiger has even changed his putter to deal with the slower greens at Carnoustie. He will know without at least a top 10 finish his hopes of qualifying for the WGC are slim.
Dustin Johnson: Being the world number one is no easy feat. He was very close to winning the U.S Open and is still one of the best players in the world right now. Dustin will be looking to make up for that disappointing U.S Open finish and we expect a strong showing at this Open.
Tommy Fleetwood: Coming from his fine performance in the U.S Open with a final round of 63, Tommy is in great form. In fact, he holds the competitive course record at Carnoustie Golf Links with another very impressive round of 63.
