PDC World Darts Championship Day 16
Tips for the PDC World Championships final.
Peter Wright v Michael Smith01/01/1970 01:00
Here at BettingLounge, our darts expert will post free darts tips for every TV tournament throughout the year. Darts can be a notoriously hard sport to predict, but there is certainly value if you know where to look.
BettingLounge has an experienced, darts crazy tipster that has grown up in a darting family. His family have played the sport professionally, and represented their country at the highest level.
But, darts is a hard sport to predict even with a great knowledge of the sport and players. Shocks occur often, but it can allow for great value bets if you know where to look. All of our darts betting tips will have good value as we rarely ever pick the favourite at short odds.
Instead, we look at some of the more obscure markets, with plenty of markets available at Betfair. In fact, Betfair is the site we use most for our darts betting tips as they have high odds and a great range of markets.
Darts was once just a pub sport played between friends, but it has grown into a beloved niche that even has their own channel on Sky Sports. It is continually growing with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) leading the way.
If you are new to the sport, check out our Darts Betting Guide for an understanding of the game, betting terms, the do’s and don’ts while betting and more.
Firstly, darts is still a niche in the betting industry with a number of betting sites only offering the basic markets on the TV tournaments. But, some of the best darts betting sites will offer a wide range of markets on TV and off stage darts tournaments.
Our personal favourite is Betfair, but BetVictor, bet365 and Paddy Power have some decent darts betting products too. Secondly, we look at the win market to see if there are any undervalued players in the lineup.
If you have an insight into darts, form and head to head records can have a big impact on the result. For example, Raymond van Barneveld has been inconsistent in the past few years, but as soon as he comes up against Micheal van Gerwen (World number one) he plays brilliantly.
Just an example, but those kinds of head to head clashes can be found throughout darts, with the mental edge of a 1v1 sport playing a big part of the outcome. Just like the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts final between Gerwyn Price and Gary Anderson.
Gerwyn Price has a controversial playing style in which he over celebrates regularly throughout a match. Price got inside Anderson’s head, and it ultimately proved a decisive factor in Gerwyn’s shock win to claim his first PDC major title.
Our point being, there are many factors that our tipster has to consider before posting his darts betting tips. Remember, we do not guarantee wins or profit, but darts is a highly entertaining sport that can be made even better with a fun, responsible bet.
Sadly, there are not as many darts tournaments available on betting sites, asides from the major TV tournaments. Below is a list of all darts events available on betting sites throughout the year.
