Juventus outplayed United at Old Trafford, and I can see things being even worse for the Red Devils in Turin. They are in incredible form at the moment, while smashing their domestic league. The Old Lady are sitting pretty at the top of the table on 31 points with 10 wins and 1 draw while scoring 24 goals and conceding just eight.
The one draw did come at home, but it’s hard to see United getting anything from this game. Although, they have looked a little bit better in recent games. Juventus has scored 50% of their last 12 goals within the first 30 minutes of a match and I see them scoring early on in this game too.
If they get that early goal, they are more than likely to add another in the second half as United attempt to force the game in their favour. I like the odds of Juventus to score in both halves at 31/20.
Lyon’s form has been a bit hit and miss this season, but I can certainly see both teams scoring in this match. They played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture and Hoffenheim always manage a goal or two.
They have seen both teams score in 12 of their 14 matches in all competitions, and have scored in every match bar a cup game this season. In fact, Hoffenheim have scored 10 goals in their last three away matches in the Bundesliga while scoring six goals in three in the CL.
Lyon are in fine scoring form in the CL this season with 1 win and two draws while scoring seven goals in three games. But, they have also conceded six goals in that time so another high scoring game looks likely tonight.
I want to have faith in Roma to win this game but I just have a feeling it could end a draw or a shock CSKA win. At 3/4 I fancy both teams scoring this afternoon, and it brings the treble to a tasty 9.37!
Roma won comfortably in the reverse fixture, but CSKA will be looking for revenge and playing at home is always an advantage you should not ignore. Especially after yesterdays shock loss for Liverpool. Really, I should be ignoring the early kickoff but I like the odds.
Now, CSKA are not the best at home, but they did pick up a solid 1-0 win against Real Madrid and have only failed to score at home twice in their last fifteen matches.
Roma are not exactly in the best form either, sitting in ninth in the league while conceding in every away match bar one. Roma does not travel well in the CL either and have lost their last five matches on the road while conceding a shocking 16 goals.
