Will Palace spoil the new Stadium party tonight? Honestly, they are in great form and shape to do so.
Palace have been excellent on the road in recent games, scoring in their last eight away games.
Meanwhile, Spurs are struggling for form, and are now without a win in their last five Premier League games, losing four and drawing one.
Spurs have kept just one clean sheet in their last six “home” matches at Wembley, and it could take some adjusting for the new stadium.
Palace have been great on the scoring front away from home, netting 16 goals in their last six away games. But, they have managed just one clean sheet in that time.
I see good value in both teams scoring tonight, and Palace could potentially cause a midweek upset.
If everything goes to plan, this game should see a fairly high number of goals with both teams scoring.
Roma are excellent going forward at home, scoring in all but one home match this season.
But, they are weak at the back, conceding in all but one of their home games.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina have only failed to score in one of their last eight away games, and they are capable of a goal or two against this leaky Roma backline.
But, I can see the over part landing more from Roma’s side, with them likely scoring two or more goals tonight.
They have scored two or more goals in eleven home games this season, and I see them repeating this against a Fiorentina side that have lost their last two away games while conceding five goals.
Roma have certainly been struggling for form, but it is a lot better and home, and they should get the job done in the end.
Either way, I see great value in both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals.
Now, Napoli could score over 2.5 goals to land this bet themselves, but I have a sneaky feeling Empoli can add a goal too.
Napoli are in fine scoring form at the moment, netting eight goals in their last two games.
But, Empoli are not too bad themselves at home, scoring ten goals in their last four games at home.
However, Empoli have conceded in 13 of their last 14 home games, and they will likely concede a goal or two tonight.
Still, I think there is good value in over 2.5 goals tonight, but I am not willing to risk BTTS with it.
I believe Empoli are capable of scoring, yet there is slight doubt, and I am listening to that doubt for this pick.
If they do not score, Napoli are still more than capable of scoring the required goals for this.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in almost 70% of Empoli’s games this season while shipping an average of 1.9 goals a game (second-worst defence in the league).
Napoli have scored 15 goals against Empoli in their last four meetings while conceding four goals. (last two meetings saw Napoli win 5-1 and 3-2)
If that ratio continues, we are in for a high scoring game, and a winner!
