This tie is still very much in the balance if Liverpool’s away record in the Champions League is anything to go by… But, I struggle to Porto keeping Liverpool out tonight, and that away goal will be key to them progressing this evening.
I can actually see Porto winning or drawing this game, but Liverpool were much better in their last away game, beating Bayern 3-1.
Before that, Liverpool lost their three away games, losing to Napoli 1-0, Red Star 2-0 and PSG 2-1.
Either way, I see good value in both teams scoring tonight with Liverpool managing just one clean sheet in their last nine Champions League away games.
Meanwhile, Porto have scored in seven of their last eight CL home games, only failing against Liverpool last year in their 5-0 loss. But, I do see them improving on that embarrassing defeat.
Porto have scored at least one goal in their last 25 home games, and they tend to score more than one goal.
But, I do see them struggling to keep this Liverpool side out, as the Reds will be looking for that crucial away goal to put the tie to bed.
Three or more corners for each team should be fairly standard, Porto average 6.83 while conceding an average of 3.24.
To start, I see no issues with Man City getting three or more corners in this game, and really, no issue with Spurs.
Especially with Harry Kane out and Llorente likely to step in, Spurs will be looking for set-piece situations and crosses to take advantage of that height.
If Man City score early, it may allow this game to open up, and I see good value in both teams getting three or more corners even if it is a tight, scrappy game.
Even in the first leg, both teams got three or more corners, and that was fairly scrappy.
I am expecting an onslaught from City in this game, but I do see them being vulnerable on the counter.
Either way, I like the look of this bet at 4/5.
Man City top the table for home corners, with an average of 8.18 a match in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Spurs are sixth on the road, averaging 4.94 corners a game.
