Will Liverpool turn up on the big stage once again? I believe so, and there is decent value in a Liverpool win and over 1.5 goals at 1/2.
The Reds have made Anfield a fortress this season, and I struggle to see Porto getting anything from this game.
Don’t get me wrong, Porto are a very capable side. But, they have conceded quite a few goals against weaker teams than Liverpool.
Porto have conceded in all but one of their Champions League games while conceding in all of their away matches.
In fact, Porto have kept just two clean sheets in their last ten away games.
I can see Liverpool getting the job done tonight, and they have scored 11 goals in their last four games.
But, the Reds have conceded in those four matches, and I can see them conceding a goal tonight. If they do, they will have to press to get the upper hand, and I can only see it benefiting this pick.
Liverpool have scored two or more goals in 10 of their last 12 home games to a total of 38 goals!
I can see a fairly high scoring game in this match, but Liverpool also have the ability to keep teams out, and it could be a tight 1-0/2-0 win too.
Either way, I see great value in the Liverpool win and over 1.5 goals.
Sunderland are coming for that automatic promotion place, but they will need positive results to overtake Barnsley in second.
The Black Cats have two games in hand and are currently level on points with Barnsley, but they come up against an inform Burton side who are scoring goals for fun at the moment.
Sunderland are consistent scorers this season, scoring in all of their home games, and I can see them scoring a goal or two in this one.
But, the Black Cats are consistently conceding goals at home, seeing both teams score in a whopping 74% of their games at the Stadium of Light.
Meanwhile, Burton have scored 11 goals in their last three games while beating Barnsley 3-1 in their last match. An impressive victory against one of the tightest defences in the league!
Both of these teams are more than capable of scoring goals, and I see good value in BTTS and over 2.5 goals at 13/10.
Wycombe come into this game fighting for survival down in 19th, but I expect them to give Charlton a good game.
Wycombe are in terrible form, with eight losses and one draw in their last nine matches. But, they have scored at least one goal in seven of their last eight games.
Also, they perform a lot better at home, boasting a solid scoring record, scoring in 13 of their last 16 home games.
Charlton are in fine form right now, unbeaten in their last nine games while winning five and drawing four. They will look to extend that unbeaten run to remain in the playoffs.
But, Charlton are not always the best at the back, conceding 11 of their last 16 away games.
With Wycombe’s consistent scoring record at home, and them battling relegation, I can see them scoring at least one goal in this match as they push for a result.
Of course, that will leave them open, and I struggle to see them keeping Charlton out.
