Wolfsburg come into this game in great form with three wins and one draw in their last four games. They have beat RB Leipzig, Frankfurt (Away) and picked up an impressive 2-2 draw against the dangerous Hoffenheim.
Stuttgart are in better form overall with three wins and two losses in their last five matches, but their away form is not pretty. They have lost seven matches on the road while drawing one and winning one, all while conceding 2 or more goals in six of those matches.
I see goals in this game, and Stuttgart could well get on the scoresheet. But at 4/5, Wolfsburg should score two or more goals as they have in their last three matches in a row.
Borussia M’gladbach are in terrific form this season as they sit in second behind Dortmund. They come up against a struggling Nurnberg team that has conceded a shocking 23 goals in their last five away matches. 23 goals?!!!
All while only scoring four goals in those matches and failing to score in four of their seven away matches. M’gladbach have been a force at Borussia Park this season while winning all seven home matches and scoring 2 or more goals in all those matches.
But, they tend to score most of their goals in the second half with a whopping 69.7% of their goals coming in the 2nd half. I struggle to see Nurnberg even getting a goal tonight, so for M’Gladbach to win the 2nd half at 8/13 is a pretty decent value.
They are 4/7 to score over 2.5 goals tonight as they have done in their last five home matches while keeping three clean sheets.
Dusseldorf will not go toe to toe with Dortmund in this game, and I expect a fairly cagey first half. Added to the fact that Dusseldorf will likely park the bus and their average time of the 1st goal conceded is in the 49th minute.
Meanwhile, Dortmund tends to score their first goal in the 46th minute on the road. I can also see Dortmund keeping a clean sheet in this match as they have done in 43% of their league matches this season while boasting the second-best defence in the league.
I see Dortmund winning this game, but they could even win both halves. Either way, I struggle to see Dusseldorf keeping this high-flying Dortmund team out.
