West Brom v Aston Villa14/05/2019 20:00
West Brom have scored in all but one of their home games this season, but, they have seen both teams score in 83% of their games at The Hawthorns.
This game was very open in the first leg, and I see the same happening tonight. Villa have improved their defence, and the Baggies will be without Gayle, but I still see them getting a goal or two tonight as they have done so often at home.
Also, Villa will certainly be dangerous, and they have scored in their last seven away games while scoring two or more goals in four of their last five games on the road.
I am hoping the Baggies continue their fine scoring form, even without Gayle, they still have a very capable striker in Jay Rodriguez.
The corners should be rather standard in this game if it is anywhere as open as the first leg. West Brom average 5.24 corners per game while conceding 5.30.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa average 6.13 corners while conceding 5.13. I am opting for more Villa corners as they use the width of the pitch so often, which will likely rack up corners.
In terms of the at least one card for West Brom, the Baggies average 1.78 cards a game. West Brom received six cards in the reverse leg, and I see Villa’s style of play frustrating the Baggies once again.
In the worst case, Grealish will likely draw a card or two as West Brom struggle to deal with him.
