OkThe Unibet European Championship starts tonight and I have a tasty little treble to get things started.

In what could be a pretty tight game, Steve West is throwing great darts at the moment against a Mervyn that has struggled recently. Mervyn is also carrying a back injury and that could make the difference tonight.
I still think Steve will win this even if Mervyn was fully fit. In their last first to six sets matches, Steve West has come out on top both times. Winning 6-1 in the International Darts Open and 6-3 in the Austrian Open.
Michael Smith is an explosive player that loves to smash in 180’s. Steve Lennon is more than capable of hitting the maximum but I think Smith will simply outscore him in this one. He has the mental edge over Lennon after winning their previous two encounters fairly comfortably.
There is little value in Smith to win this match, but he should do so in some style. He will have to play at his best to beat Lennon and that usually brings out Smith’s top game with plenty of 180’s to win this.
This bet is in the King of the Oche market in which we will need Gerwen to win, hit the highest checkout and most 180’s. Now, this is Gerwen’s format and the tournament as he goes into this as 4/5 favourite to win the whole thing.
MVG can be an explosively, fast player and if he starts well this could easily be a whitewash. Paul is playing better now but he will struggle against MVG in this one, and the bookies give him very little chance here.
If Michael does win this, his rhythm and skill will lead to a number of 180’s and a ton plus checkout. At even’s this bet has good value!
