Scunthorpe have been involved in some high-scoring games recently with 13 goals scored in their last two games! Peterborough actually let my BTTS bet down last week after failing to score at home in their 4-0 loss to Barnsley. But, I have faith in their ability to get a goal in this one.
Peterborough have seen both teams score in all of their away matches in the league this season and in 10 of their last 13 in all competitions. Scunthorpe have seen both teams score in seven of their last nine home matches.
It would certainly be a surprise if this doesn’t come in, with both teams scoring plenty of goals while struggling to keep a clean sheet.
Newport County must be one of the only teams that are in the top three in their league with a negative goal difference. They have scored an impressive 18 goals while conceding 19, with three of those goals coming against the bottom of the table Macclesfield.
Stevenage have been fairly poor away from home, but they manage to score regularly and average 1.14 goals on the road. Against this Newport County side that have conceded 2.29 goals on average at home, they should have more than enough to get a goal or two here.
For all of Newport’s defensive woes, they are pretty potent in attack. They are averaging 1.71 goals at home should get a goal against a Stevenage side that struggle on the road.
If anything, I am impressed that Accrington are evens to win this match considering their form right now. Yes, they lost their last game 1-0 to Shrewsbury, but this Accrington side are more than capable of beating this struggling Bradford City side.
Early on in the season, Accrington couldn’t stop drawing 1-1, with that scoreline landing in four matches in a row. But, they are in much better winning form with five wins in their last six matches.
Bradford’s form on the road is pretty shocking, asides from their narrow 1-0 win against Wimbledon. Before that win, they had lost four away matches on the bounce and have lost their last two matches in all competitions.
Harrogate Town come up against second from the bottom Dover in a clash that should be a comfortable win for the home side. Dover are without a win in 12 games and have lost eight of those. I expect their misery to continue here against a very strong Harrogate team.
Harrogate have won their last two matches after bouncing back from a losing to Leyton Orient and a draw to Wrexham. But, they are two promotion rivals so it was always going to be tough. In this match, it should be fairly comfortable after scoring six goals in their last two wins against lower ranked teams.
At home, Harrogate are solid, asides from that loss to Leyton Orient they have won four and drawn two while scoring 2+ goals in games against weaker opposition.
