Home Win |
This should be a fairly close game, but Newcastle are in a lot better form to win this match. Newcastle have won four of their last seven games while Fulham have lost their last five matches in a row on the road.
Fulham are looking a bit toothless going forward while their problems at the back continue to cause issues. Meanwhile, the Magpies won their last match on the road against Huddersfield and will want to continue that will a win against the bottom of the table Fulham.
I can see a 1-0/2-0 win for Newcastle as Fulham struggle to score on the road, only managing one goal in their last four away matches while conceding 13.
Bournemouth are in a rough patch of form, but they are very solid at home with four wins and three losses so far. But, those three losses have come against Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool.
They usually fare quite well against the lower teams in the league at the Vitality Stadium, and Brighton do not travel well. Brighton have lost their last two matches, but their form on the road is an issue.
The Seagulls have lost six, won two and drawn one on the road, which is actually better than last seasons away form. Still, Bournemouth have the better squad, and this should show with Callum Wilson returning to the side.
This match is in my tasty treble, I am not a big fan of including games twice, but the value cannot be ignored in this match. Wycombe are a solid team, especially at home where they have won their last six matches in a row.
Conversely, Wimbledon sit at the bottom of the table with an abysmal away record. They have lost their last seven matches on the road while failing to score in five of those games. I see a fairly straightforward home win in this one, and the value at 23/20 is there.
Bradford may look like an odd inclusion for this bet, but hear me out. Their performances have been getting better and better while scoring six goals in their last two home games while keeping clean sheets.
In fact, they have lost just one of their last five while winning two and drawing two. But, they are scoring goals with seven in their last two matches. Meanwhile, Scunthorpe are in dreadful form, with four losses in a row while failing to score in their last three matches.
Scunthorpe boast the worst defence in the league, conceding a whopping 47 goals in 22 games, and this will be an issue against a Bradford team that is in fine scoring form.
Lastly, I like the look of a Bury home win against a Tranmere side that do not travel well. In fact, that is a bit of an understatement. Tranmere have lost their last four games on the road while conceding an impressive 14 goals. But, they have scored seven goals in the process.
However, Bury are a good home team with seven wins, one loss and three draws this season. They have won four of their last five home matches while keeping three clean sheets and scoring 15 goals.
I can see this high-scoring Bury team putting a few goals past a Tranmere side that have conceded 14 goals in four away matches.
