I know, backing an early kickoff is a cardinal sin. But, come on… both teams are going to score in this match. Maybe not in the first half (Arsenal start so slow), but there will certainly be plenty of chances for both teams in this match.
Arsenal have seen both teams score in their last five matches in a row, while it has landed in all of their away matches this season. Look at the state of the Gunners defence, a goal or two is very likely for West Ham who are quite prolific scorers at home in recent games.
The Hammers have scored eight goals in four home matches, but they did fail to score against Watford which is a slight worry. However, the early kick off curse is certainly on West Ham’s side and the dreadful Arsenal defence of course.
Yes, that’s right. I have backed against the best defence in the league to concede a goal. But, hear me out. Firstly, it is 6/5 and those odds are pretty damn tasty. Secondly, Liverpool are having an injury crisis at the back, with Fabinho set to start at CB for this match and VVD is suffering from illness, although he should recover for this match.
Thirdly, even if Liverpool had a full strength team, I would still back both teams to score tomorrow. Liverpool have hit a little bump, with two losses in a row while conceding four goals. They are vulnerable on the road, and I expect Brighton to put on some pressure at their home turf.
Lastly, Brighton have scored in all of their home matches this season, in fact, they have scored in their last 13 home matches in a row. They are a tough team to beat at the Amex, and I can see a potential shock on the cards if they get into Liverpool.
Oh man, this bet has two things you should avoid as a punter. One, the early kick-off, never back it. Two, do not bet on your own team. So up steps Norwich (my team) on the road against West Brom.
If this bet wins it will be incredible! Not for the odds, but to defy all the bad voodoo that comes with those two betting sins. Moving on to the game, this is a big match for both teams promotion hopes. Norwich need to get back to winning ways while West Brom will want to pick up points at the Hawthorns.
Norwich have seen both teams score in four of their last five matches while seeing a 3-3 against Forest and a 4-3 against Derby. Our defence is a bit shaky at the moment with current injuries causing issues. Also, this defence is coming up against the top scorers in the league, who have obvious Premier League talent in their team.
However, they are also shaky at the back, seeing both teams score 20 times already this season. Norwich are more than capable of scoring a goal or two tomorrow, but I struggle to see us keeping a clean sheet.
To round things off, an inform Swansea travel to Deepdale where goals are usually plentiful. Swansea have won their past two games in all competitions, scoring seven goals beating Reading and Aston Villa. But, they have seen both teams score in four of their last five league games and in their last four away matches in a row.
Similarly, Preston have seen both teams score in their last three matches in a row while it has landed in their last seven home matches in a row. Preston have seen both teams score in all but two of their home matches this season, and I see that trend continuing tomorrow.
