I can see this being quite a feisty match, and there is probably some value in the bookings market. But, I also see value in both teams scoring at 4/5. Forest are looking more capable under Martin O’Neil, especially at home.
Forest have won three of their last four home games, only losing to an inform Bristol City side. But, they have beaten Leeds, Brentford and Wigan in that time too. However, Forest have not kept a clean sheet in their last six home games in a row.
Still, they have scored nine goals in their last four games, and will likely get on the scoresheet in this game too. Meanwhile, Derby have been disappointing in their last two games, only drawing away at Ipswich and a shock loss to Millwall at Pride Park in their last game.
However, Derby have scored in the vast majority of their away games, only failing in four of their sixteen games on the road. Still, Derby are not great at keeping a clean sheet on their travels, conceding in 14 of their 16 matches.
A big game in the Bundesliga as two capable sides go head to head tonight. Leipzig have been pretty solid since the winter break, winning three of their last four games, scoring ten goals while conceding just one.
But, they come up against an inform Hoffenheim side that always manages a goal or two. Hoffenheim are unbeaten in their last four games, drawing two and winning two. They have seen both teams score in the vast majority of their games this season while scoring in every away match so far.
Not only are they scoring in away matches, but they are also actually quite prolific. Hoffenheim have scored 13 goals in their last five matches on the road, but they have also conceded 11 goals. Both teams scoring is a usual feature for them, with BTTS landing in all ten of their away matches, and over 2.5 goals landing in nine of those ten.
Meanwhile, Leipzig are usually quite prolific at home, but they have failed to score in their last two matches. However, they were against tough opponents in Dortmund and Frankfurt. They should manage to score freely against this Hoffenheim side that conceded a lot of goals.
Leipzig average over 2 goals a match at home, and are quite good defensively, boasting the best defensive numbers in the league. But, I do see this creative, and dangerous Hoffenheim side getting on the scoresheet tonight.
Despite Jong Utrecht’s terrible run of form, they are pretty good at scoring at home. They sit down in 19th in the league, with seven losses in a row, but, they have scored at least one goal in their last eight home matches in a row.
In fact, they have scored nine goals in their last five homes games, which is quite good for a team struggling down the bottom. However, they do concede goals for fun, with 11 goals coming in those five games.
Meanwhile, Top Oss have been struggling as of late with three losses, one draw and just one win in their last five games. But, they did win their last match (1-0) against Telstar at home. I can see Top Oss getting a win here, but they are likely to concede with Utrecht very consistent scorers as of late.
