PSV Eindhoven II v Maastricht21/01/2019 19:00
Bolton host West Brom in tonights Monday night clash, but who will come out on top? Bolton have lost their last two matches in a row, conceding eight goals while scoring just one. They are up against the top scorers in the league who have scored two or more goals in four of their last five away matches.
But, West Brom are without a win in three matches, drawing two and losing one. They are yet to sort their defensive issues out, keeping just three clean sheets this season. Although, they have no issues at the other end, scoring 55 goals so far to an average of 2.04 a match.
However, Bolton struggle on the goal front with just 18 this season to an average of 0.67 a game. They have the worst attack in the league, but will they crack this West Brom defence that always seems to leak goals?
To be honest, I can see a hard-fought, gritty win for West Brom in which they keep a clean sheet. A 1-0/2-0 scoreline for the Baggies is my view of this game, and I see real value in the away win at 5/6.
The winter break felt long for the Dutch Eerste Divisie, but it is back, and I am looking forward to seeing plenty of goals again. Jong PSV drew their last game against Jong Ajax (2-2) just last week, and they have seen both teams score in their last five matches in a row.
But, they have seen both teams score trend continue throughout the season with it landing in 17 of their 20 league matches. Similarly, Maastricht (MVV) have scored in their last six away matches in a row while seeing both teams score in three of their last five matches.
In fact, MVV have only failed to score once on the road this season, and I expect them to get a goal against this PSV team that cannot stop leaking goals. PSV are seventh in the table, but they have the 15th worst defence, shipping a massive 36 goals in 20 games this season.
But, they also have the most potent attack, scoring 46 goals in that time to an average of 2.3 a match. This should be a fairly standard both teams to score pick to bring this bet home!
