Mali v Ivory Coast08/07/2019 17:00
A slightly riskier pick than normal here, but I believe there is good value in both teams scoring later today.
Both sides are in fine scoring form this tournament. Mali topped their group winning two, drawing one while scoring six goals and conceding two.
Meanwhile, Ivory Coast finished second in their group, winning two and losing one while scoring five goals and conceding two.
Mali have a talented and dangerous young side, and I can see them getting a goal or two against an Ivory Coast side that have underperformed in the tournament so far. Although, they played much better in their 4-1 win over Nambia in their last match, and I can see Ivory Coast building on that result.
With talents like Zaha, Pepe, Kodja, Gradel, and Kessie to name a few, they should have more than enough to get on the scoresheet.
Both teams have scored in two of their last three meetings, but their last match finished 0-0 back in 2017.
Ivory Coast have managed just one clean sheet in their last five matches, and I see Mali breaking through later today, but I struggle to see them keeping out this dangerous Ivory Coast side out.
To me, both teams scoring at 7/5 represents good value with all things considered.
