A game in which we spent a while trying to find some value for a bet. Both teams have had a bad start to their campaigns as they sit in the bottom five. They will both be looking for three points in this match-up. Havant have only lost one game at home, but have drawn managed three impressive draws against Fylde, Salford and Boreham Wood.
Aldershot have a terrible away record and have lost four on the bounce, in the process only scoring one goal and conceding nine. This will be their “easiest” away match on paper though, so it’s hard to see value in the match winner market.
Instead, we looked a little more in-depth about their goal scoring habits and stats. Havant and Waterlooville have only scored two goals in the first half, with the vast majority (eight) coming in the second half. We think it will be a fairly tight affair, to begin with, as both teams feel each other out and do not want to risk conceding an early goal.
