|BTTS+Over 2.5 goals|
Friday night football could be a goal-fest, and I am expecting both teams to net in this one.
The Saints have improved at the back this season, keeping three clean sheets in their first five games, but they will likely struggle to keep this dangerous Bournemouth side out tonight.
But, Southampton are consistent goal scorers, especially at home. The Saints have scored at least one goal in their last 17 home games (all competitions) and they will likely score a goal or two tonight against a Bournemouth side that rarely keep a clean sheet, especially on the road.
Bournemouth have seen both teams score in their last six PL games in a row and each of their first five games this season. The Cherries went through a rough patch away from home last season, but they scored three goals in their first two away games so far, although they have conceded four in those two.
Also, Southampton have seen both teams score in their last seven home games in a row, and 15 of their last 16 home games in the PL!
This game ended 3-3 last season, and I see good value in another high scoring match tonight.
Schalke looks like good value tonight, they are in form and have a great record against Mainz at home, winning five of their last six meetings.
The hosts bounced back from their 3-0 loss to Bayern, winning 3-0 against Hertha Berlin and 5-1 against Paderborn.
Meanwhile, Mainz have lost three of their first four games, winning one while conceding 13 goals in those 4 games.
With Schalke in fine scoring form, up against a Mainz with a questionable defence record, Schalke looks like good value for another home win tonight.
Also, Mainz tends to struggle on the road, losing nine of their last ten away games while conceding two or more goals in eight of those matches.
They have conceded nine goals in their opening two away matches as this poor away trend looks likely to continue this season.
Another game in which I can see a good number of goals tonight. Cagliari have seen both teams score in six of their last seven games while Genoa have seen it land in their first three games this season.
Cagliari won their last match 3-1 away to Parma, and will likely score a goal or two against a Genoa side that have conceded eight goals in three games. Also, Genoa have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six trips to Cagliari, and both teams have scored in eight of their last eleven meetings.
Genoa may have confidence in this match though, with their attacking credentials coming up against a Cagliari side that have lost their last four home games while conceding seven goals.
Over 2.5 goals and BTTS has landed in three of Cagliari’s last four games while Genoa have seen it land in their last seven games (all competitions), and their first three Serie A matches.
I cannot call a winner in this game, but I do see good value in both teams scoring tonight and over 2.5 goals.
