Jong Utrecht are have faced some tough opposition so far but managed to get three points in their last match. Almere will be frustrated that they conceded an 88th-minute goal to draw 2-2 against Maastricht in their last match. But, this is the perfect opportunity to get the ball rolling again with another win.
Utrecht haven’t won any of their last five games against Almere. In fact, they have lost the past five meetings in a row. Their last point in the H2H meetings came in 2016 where they drew 1-1 at home.
Almere are averaging 2.33 goals at home this season, but haven’t won at home yet this season. Utrecht have a terrible away form and only won once on the road in their last 19 matches last season. But, they did score in 12 of their 19 matches. They should get a goal here, but Almere should be strong enough to put 2 or more past Utrecht.
We are going for BTTS in this match, as Almere continue to struggle without a home win in their last five matches conceding in each match. Both teams have scored in their all of their previous seven meetings dating back to 2014.
Volendam are having a rotten start to their campaign, as they sit 18th with 1 point on the board. The most concerning stat is they are bottom of the “top attack” table with just 2 goals scored, with an average of 0.5 goals per match. They are also 17th in the “Top defence” conceding eight goals with an average of 2 per match.
Volendam are without a win in their last 12 games, and we do not see that changing tonight. Also, Oss are unbeaten in their last five away matches, and score an average of 2.25 goals a game. Huseyin Dogan is a striker in form with five goals already and sits joint top scorer in the league.
Top Oss have had a great start with nine points in their first four games. Their only defeat so far came from 2nd in the table Cambuur, who are playing some beautiful football at the moment.
Volendam have scored both their goals at home though, so we see better value in the Top Oss or draw bet at 7/10. If you fancy Oss, they are around 7/4 to win outright.
NEC have the best home form in the league and haven’t lost a match since the 16/17 season. They have won 15 of their 19 games at home and have started the season well with three wins in a row.
PSV reserves have an awful away record, with eight losses in their last 19 away matches. Considering they finished 5th last season, it is a big weakness for them. This season that trend has continued, with two away losses already.
NEC are averaging 2 goals a match and have scored 8 goals so far. PSV have one of the worst defences so far. They have conceded 9 goals in four games, with an average of 2.25 goals a match. Anass Achabar is in great form for NEC, with four goals already and an average of 1 goal per match.
We have gone for a home win for our accumulator bet.
Telstar have won their last two matches in a row, but they have played lesser opposition. The wins came against teams at in the bottom of the league. Before that, they lost the other two matches to a little bit better opposition in Waalwijk and Maastricht.
Conversely, Cambuur are in excellent form, whilst beating some good opposition and getting a decent away draw against promotion favourites NEC. Cambuur have the second best attack in the league, scoring nine goals and averaging 2.25 goals a game. Karim Rossi is a striker in great form with five of those goals and is the joint top goalscorer in the league.
Cambuur have won the previous five H2H encounters including one club friendly. Telstar are without a win against Cambuur since 2011 and have only managed three draws in that time, losing the rest. Cambuur are unbeaten in their last eight home games, and with their H2H record, form, and goal-scoring prowess. It is hard to see Telstar getting anything from this game.
Dortmund have a very impressive home record, with five wins in their last six games. In the process, they have scored a total of 16 goals. Conversely, Frankfurt have a terrible away record. They have conceded 18 goals on the road in their last eight matches.
Dortmund boss the H2H meetings, with 17 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss in their last 21 meetings. The goal difference is a massive 58-14 in Dortmund’s favour. Which is terrible news for Frankfurt, who are without two CB’s and their LB, who is suspended due to a red card last match.
Borussia Dortmund have the potential to run riot in this match. This match is usually quite a high scoring affair, with eight of the last nine seeing over 2.5 goals. Dortmund may concede, but I have no doubt they will outscore Frankfurt in this one.
