This should be a cracking match, which I can see Rob Cross edging if replicates his form from last week. But, this game could go either way or end as a draw with both players throwing good darts right now.
Both are capable 180s scorers, and both should throw at least two 180s each in this match. Rob Cross has thrown at least two 180s in his last seven matches in a row, and he was in fine form last week.
Meanwhile, James Wade is performing to a high standard with a 7-4 win over RVB last week, hitting four 180s in the process. Wade has hit more than 2 180s in six of his last seven games and should hit the number once again in this game.
I can see this game going the distance, and it should give both players plenty of time to hit the two 180s each that we need.
I struggle to see Price getting good reception in Scotland after his antics against Gary Anderson in the final of the Grand Slam. But, this shouldn’t affect him too much in this match (at least I hope). Barney is still struggling with his form while losing on the first night and winning just one match in the Pro Tour last weekend.
Meanwhile, Price won his first match against Daryl Gurney, and I see him getting a result in this match too. But, the crowd’s reception does make me slightly reserved, hence the draw no bet pick. I think Price will be able to handle it and get the job done. But, the DNB is there just in case.
Price is 11/10 if you fancy his outright win.
It is hard to look past Gerwen at the moment, but these odds are pretty tasty for this game. Both players to throw 2 or more 180s and Gerwen win is 5/6! Firstly, MVG should win this game, and I struggle to see Mensur winning too many legs in this game.
But, his 180 scoring has improved a lot, and he should have no issues hitting the two 180s needed. Of course, MVG needs to hit the two 180s too, and I do not see that being an issue.
Michael has a solid record against the Gentle, winning seven of their last eight meetings.
