Tuesday’s Champions League Betting Tips

Borussia Dortmund v Tottenham – Tue 5th March, 20:00, Signal Iduna Park
Can Borussia Dortmund come back from their 3-0 loss in the reverse fixture? Dortmund kept the scoreline at 1-0 until the 83rd minute, and then they conceded two goals in four minutes to make this a tough task to overcome.
But, Dortmund are capable of scoring a high number of goals, however, they are not known for their clean sheets, and if they concede, it is pretty much game over in this one.
Dortmund are struggling for form at the moment, but they are a different animal at the Signal Iduna Park. They have scored 16 goals in their last five home matches, but, they have conceded in each match to a total of ten.
Meanwhile, Spurs are struggling on the road at the moment, with four losses in their last four games. They have conceded two goals in each of those losses while only scoring two goals overall.
Tottenham have seen their title hopes fade to nothing, after just one point in their last three games. They are now 10 points behind leaders Man City, and I think it’s fair to say they will not catch them up.
If Spurs want a trophy this season, they will have to win the Champions League (big ask!). But, I do see them progressing to the next stage, unless they pull a Spurs and somehow bottle this 3-0 lead.
Betting Tips
Firstly, Dortmund are evens to win, the draw is 29/10, and a Spurs win is 14/5.
To start, I see good value in both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals which is best priced at 5/6 with BoyleSports.
Dortmund have seen both teams score and over 2.5 goals in their last eight home games in a row. Spurs have seen a little dip in their form on the road, but they are usually consistent scorers away, scoring in all but two matches this season.
I do think Dortmund will struggle to keep a clean sheet in this match, especially as they need to push for goals to have any chance of coming back in this tie.
On that note, I think Dortmund can win this match, but I do struggle to see them qualifying. However, a BTTS and Dortmund win looks like good value at 5/2 with Betfair!

Real Madrid v Ajax – Tue 5th March, 20:00, Bernabeu
Real Madrid are without Sergio Ramos, and I think it will make a big difference in this game. Real have lost their last two games at home, but they were two El Clasico’s in quick succession, and morale could be very low at the Madrid camp.
Real failed to score in both their El Clasico losses while conceding four goals in the process.
Meanwhile, Ajax bounced back from their 2-1 loss against Real Madrid at home, to win 5-0, 5-1 and 3-0.
But, will they be able to perform on this big match at the Bernabeu? Real are usually very solid at home, especially at the Bernabeu. However, they lost their last Champions League home game against CSKA Moscow, 3-0!
Their team may have not been the strongest lineup for that match, but a 3-0 loss at home is not good. Real have now lost their last three home games in all competitions, scoring just one goal while conceding six.
Betting Tips
Firstly, Real Madrid to win is 4/6, the draw is 10/3 and an Ajax win is 9/2.
To stay away from the win markets at first, I see good value in both teams scoring at 40/85 with Betfair! Ajax have scored in eight of their last nine away Champions League games, and I see them getting a goal tonight.
Real have conceded in eight of their last nine Champions League games while winning four of those with both teams scoring.
I see Real winning this game, and a BTTS Real win is best priced at 7/4 with Betfair.
