I do not share the same excitement for the Champions League as most fans, sadly Norwich City are not going to be a part of this tournament for quite some time (if ever). But, it does allow me to enjoy football at the highest level as a neutral.
This neutral perspective is also quite handy when it comes to picking a bet. There is little to no bias in any of my views towards any teams in this tournament. So, who is going to come out on top tonight, or will this finish as a draw?
Man United fans will be buzzing for this game, the players are performing brilliantly with 10 wins and 1 draw in all competitions, and they face a PSG without Neymar and Cavani. The stars have aligned for United, but will they make it count tonight?
I have been impressed with the Red Devils against “top” sides like Arsenal and Spurs, and I think their confidence and form will show in this match. Meanwhile, PSG fell to their first defeat in the league a few games ago, while needing extra time to beat Villefranche in the cup.
PSG managed to get a tight 1-0 win against Bordeaux in their last match, but it certainly wasn’t a performance to build confidence for this big match. I haven’t watched a huge amount of Ligue 1 this season, nor PSG that often. But, I was not exactly impressed in their last performance in England against Liverpool.
The 3-2 scoreline suggested a much closer game, but it was far from that. Liverpool dominated most of the game and made PSG look fairly average compared to their dominance in Ligue 1.
Betting Tips
Firstly, Man United are 11/8 to win, the draw is 5/2 and a PSG win is 9/4.
I do see value in the United win at 11/8, but this game is going to have goals. United have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six PL home games, and I struggle to see them keeping out PSG in this match.
But, I do think United will get a result in this game. BTTS and a match result United is best priced at 3/1 with bet365. Man U have seen both teams score while winning in four of their last five home games, in which they have scored 15 goals in that time.
For a safer bet, I like the look of over 2.5 goals and BTTS which is best priced at evens with Skybet.
Paul Pogba is a changed man right now and is playing some incredible football. He is 11/10 to have 2 or more shots on target with BoyleSports! Similarly, Rashford is 6/5 and Mbappe is 6/5.
