West Ham v Liverpool – Betting Tips and Preview

West Ham v Liverpool – Mon 4th February, 20:00, London Stadium
Referee: Kevin Friend
With the title race still very much on, will Liverpool extend the gap to five points with a win in London tonight? West Ham have the talent to cause issues, but they have been so inconsistent this season.
The Hammers have lost their last three matches in all competitions while only scoring two goals and conceding nine. But, all three of those matches were on the road, with their home record much better in recent matches.
West Ham have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five matches at home while beating Arsenal 1-0 in their last game at home. However, the Hammers have conceded two goals in three of those matches while only keeping one clean sheet in their last nine home matches.
Meanwhile, Liverpool come into this match with four wins and one loss (Man City) in their last five away matches. But, the Reds did drop points against Leicester in their last match.
Liverpool have won their last four meetings in a row against West Ham while scoring four goals in each match, conceding just two goals. Also, Liverpool have kept six clean away sheets this season, one more than the whole of 17/18 season.
Marko Arnautovic looks set to miss this match after limping off with a foot injury against Wolves, but he will be subject to a late fitness test and could feature.
Betting Tips
Firstly, West Ham are 17/2 to win, the draw is 9/2 and a Liverpool win is 2/5.
I do see Liverpool getting the job done in this match, they have a great record against West Ham, and I struggle to see the Hammers dealing with Liverpool’s dangerous attack. But, I do not see a lot of value in Liverpool at 2/5.
However, see value in BTTS and match result Liverpool at 2/1 with bet365. The Reds have the ability to score a few goals in this match and could keep a clean sheet, but West Ham should be able to get a goal in this match.
The Hammers have failed to score in their last two PL matches, but they are more prolific at home, scoring in four of their last five matches. West Ham have scored nine goals in their last five home games while conceding eight.
As a long shot, I am going for Salah to score anytime and Liverpool win 3-1 which is best priced at 36/1 with BetVictor. Salah has scored four in his last three appearances against West Ham.
