Chelsea v Leicester – Match Preview and Betting Tips

Chelsea v Leicester – Sat 22nd Dec, 15:00, Stamford Bridge
Referee: Lee Probert
Chelsea have lost just once in their last 12 league meetings (9 wins 2 draws) with that sole defeat coming at the King Power Stadium during Leicester’s title-winning season. Will that dominant trend continue in the favour of Chelsea?
Both teams played midweek in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, with Chelsea winning and Leicester losing on penalties. But, Chelsea played on Wednesday and Leicester played on Tuesday so there is an extra day rest in there for Leicester.
Although, professional footballers should easily recover in that time, and Chelsea saw a fair bit of rotation in their squad to allow for this. Chelsea have faltered a little bit on the road with losses against Spurs and Wolves.
But, they are still unbeaten at Stamford Bridge with six wins and three draws, including an excellent 2-0 win against City a few weeks ago. Chelsea followed that win with another at the Amex, against a tough to beat Brighton side.
Meanwhile, Leicester are in pretty bad shape with just two wins in their last ten games, losing four and drawing four. They have lost their last two games in a row including a disappointing 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace on the road.
Eden Hazard is on 99 goals for Chelsea in all competitions, can he reach 100 goals in this match? He has been involved in 17 goals this Premier League season with eight goals and nine assists!
Betting Tips
Firstly, Chelsea are 1/3 to win, the draw is 4/1 and a Leicester win is 10/1!
There is not a lot of value in the win market here, but I am going to have to include Hazard to score anytime for his 100th goal in a Chelsea shirt. Hazard is 21/20 with Betway to score anytime!
On that note, I like the look of Eden Hazard to score anytime and Chelsea win 2-1 which is best priced at 36/1 with BetVictor.
