Wolves v Liverpool – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Wolves v Liverpool – Fri 21st Dec, 20:00, Molineux Stadium
Referee: Craig Pawson
After going winless for six games in a row, Wolves have won their last three Premier League games, but how will they fair against league leaders, Liverpool? Honestly, this is a hard game to call. But, it should make for quite a good game for the neutral.
Liverpool are on an excellent run of form at the moment, but I just feel this is a game in which they could slip (Gerrard) up. Wolves have a lot of talent in their team, and they are a tough team to break down.
However, Liverpool have won seven and drawn two of their away games this season while scoring in every match. They tend to find a way through defences eventually and boast the best defensive record in the league.
In fact, they have scored more goals on the road this season, but they have also conceded five of their seven goals on their travels. Their away performances in the Champions League were pretty dreadful, but I am yet to see that weakness in the Premier League.
I want Liverpool to continue winning, just to maintain the title race this season, but it will be a tough game. Liverpool have scored ten goals in their last three away games while conceding just one.
Wolves have won their last two home games, beating Chelsea and Bournemouth but before that, they lost three in a row. On recent form, either team to get a result in this match, but I do not see a lot of value in Liverpool at 8/15.
Firstly, Wolves are 6/1 to win, the draw is 7/2 and a Liverpool win is 8/15.
I do not want to look past Liverpool, but I see little value in the outright win market. However, I like the look of BTTS match result Liverpool which is best priced at 5/2 with BoyleSports.
Wolves are in good form, and I think they will get on the scoresheet this Friday. But, Liverpool if clinical, should win this game. Wolves are not a team for conceding a lot of goals, but I expect Liverpool to dominate this game and create chances.
If they are clinical on the night, Liverpool can get three points from this tough fixture. But, an in-form Wolves will make that job difficult and they have scored two goals in their last three matches in a row.
On that note, both teams to score in best priced at evens with William Hill.
