Arsenal v Burnley – Match Preview and Betting Tips

Arsenal v Burnley – Sat 22nd Dec, 12:30, Emirates Stadium
Referee: Kevin Friend
Can the early kickoff curse claim another victim in Arsenal? Honestly, if it does happen it will be a huge shock. Burnley look shocking this season and I really do not see them getting anything from this game.
Their only real hope is Arsenal’s poor defensive record and their struggles in keeping a clean sheet. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last ten matches against Burnley, winning nine and drawing one while conceding just four goals in the process. As I said, it would be a huge shock!
Arsenal have been solid at the Emirates this season, with their only real disappointments coming against the rampant Man City side. In fact, Man City are the only team to beat them in 2018 at the Emirates.
Burnley are down in 18th, and I can honestly see them going down this season with the way they have been playing. They have just one win in their last ten matches while drawing two and losing seven.
Arsenal have the second-best attack in the league scoring 37 goals in 17 games to an average of 2.18 goals a match. Meanwhile, Burnley have scored just 15 goals in 17 matches to an average of 0.88 while only scoring six goals on the road.
In fact, Burnley have failed to score in four of their last five matches on the road while only scoring two goals against West Ham. But, West Hams defensive questions could be similar to Arsenal’s.
Arsenal have kept just one clean sheet in their last ten matches in the Premier League, but they have also scored in all of those matches.
Betting Tips
Firstly, Arsenal are 1/4 to win, the draw is 5/1 and a Burnley win is 14/1.
I can see no value in the win market and would be surprised to see anything other than an Arsenal win. There is little value in any of the markets really, and I prefer to avoid the early kick-off games.
But, I do like the look of Draw at halftime, Arsenal win at fulltime at 7/2 with BetVictor. Arsenal are still yet to be leading at halftime and Burnley should set up with almost all their players behind the ball in this match.
They managed to frustrate Spurs at Wembley, and I can see the same in this match. On the same note, I like the look of Under 2.5 goals at 7/4 with Betfair. Burnley have certainly improved on their defence while Arsenal have seen under 2.5 goals in three of their last five home matches.
