Fulham v West Ham – Match Preview and Tips

Fulham v West Ham – Sat 15th Dec, 17:30, Craven Cottage
Referee: Mike Dean
West Ham are looking for a fourth straight win while scoring three goals in each of those wins. Fulham are winless in their last three Premier League matches but two of those matches were against Chelsea and Man United away from home.
Fulham are undefeated at Craven Cottage under Ranieri, but they have conceded three goals in those two games. Ranieri’s biggest challenge is improving Fulham’s dreadful defensive record, which has seen them conceded a shocking 40 goals in 16 Premier League matches.
That is an average of 2.5 goals conceded per match while sitting on a -24 goal difference. Those numbers have relegation all over it, and it is yet to improve under Ranieri after conceding nine goals in his first four matches in charge.
Fulham are yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League this season and come up against an in-form West Ham side with nine goals in their last three matches.
Pellegrini’s West Ham side has been weakened with eight players on the injury list, inclduing the influential Marko Arnautovic. But, they are looking pretty good as of late and will fancy themselves in this match.
Chicharito has stepped up after injuries allowed him back in the squad, and he has scored three goals in his last three Premier League matches. Also, Felipe Anderson has scored five goals in his last six matches.
Mitrovic will be the key danger man for Fulham and has seven goals in the Premier League this season with five of them coming at Craven Cottage.
Betting Tips
Firstly, Fulham are 2/1 to win, the draw is 13/5 and a West Ham win is 6/4.
West Ham are in fine form at the moment, but their inconsistency makes me worry about them winning this match. Fulham have won and drawn their first two home games under Ranieri, and he will want to continue that trend tomorrow.
I can see this game ending level tomorrow and the draw is best priced at 13/5 with Betfair. But, there are goals in this match, so the BTTS draw is better at 17/5 with BetVictor.
Both teams have seen quite a few goals in their games, while they continue to struggle at the back but show positive signs going forward. The over’s and both teams to score markets are pretty short, but I like the look of Mitrovic to score anytime which is best priced at 7/5 with Betfair.
