West Ham v Crystal Palace – Match Preview and Betting Tips

West Ham v Crystal Palace – Sat 8th Dec, 15:00, London Stadium
West Ham are a team riddled with injuries, with the latest injury coming to Marko Arnautovic as he looks to be out for a month with a hamstring injury. How will they fare without several key players in their team? They sit at the top of the injury list with eight players out at the moment, luck is not on the Hammers side.
However, West Ham are in good form with three wins in their last five matches including two wins in a row with three goals scored in each match. They got thumped by Man City, but it’s hard not too at the moment.
Their other result was a draw away against Huddersfield, which is not a bad result. Conversely, Crystal Palace are a team struggling for form with three losses, one draw and one win in their last five matches.
But, their real issue comes on the road where they have lost four of their last five while drawing 0-0 at Old Trafford. In those losses, they have conceded two or more goals in each match while scoring just three goals.
West Ham are without a number of key players, but they are still playing some nice football under Pellegrini. Lucas Perez came off the bench to score a brace and could lead the Hammers with Arnautovic’s latest injury.
Palace were comprehensively beaten in the strange M23 derby game, in which they played against ten men for over an hour, only scoring a late penalty. Also, they conceded two goals while playing against ten men which is even more concerning for the team.
The last two head to head matches have seen draws between these two teams, with a 1-1 draw in this fixture last season and a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park.
Betting Tips
Firstly, West Ham are 13/10 to win, the draw is 12/5 and a Palace win is 49/20.
I like the look of West Ham win in this match at 13/10, but I can see Palace getting on the scoresheet. West Ham to win and both teams score is best priced at 18/5 with BetStars.
Bumping up the price of a West Ham win, I like West Ham and over 1.5 match goals which is best priced at 15/8 with Betfred. Even if Palace do not score, I see the Hammers scoring two or more.
