Burnley v Brighton – Match Preview and Betting Tips

Burnley v Brighton – Sat 8th Dec, 15:00, Turf Moor
To think Burnley were playing in the Europa League qualifiers earlier in the season, and now they sit in 19th with just nine points after 15 games. They have lost four of their last five games while losing three home matches in a row.
Brighton have won their last two matches in a row while beating Crystal Palace with ten men from the 28th minute. But, Brighton’s key man, Glenn Murray went off injured in that game and looks to be out for this match.
He will be a big miss for Brighton as there top scorer with 8 of the Seagulls 19 goals this season. But, Burnley have the second-worst defence in the league conceding 32 goals to an average of 2.13 a match, so Brighton may still get a goal or two.
The Seagulls have seen both teams score in their last five Premier League games in a row, while winning two, drawing one and losing two. They have struggled on the road this season losing five, drawing one and winning two.
Still, nowhere near Burnley as they are down in 19th compared to a decent 10th position for Brighton. I am struggling to pick a winner in this match, in fact, I am not sure if it will be high-scoring or a bore-draw.
Their last two meetings finished 0-0 in both of the games, but surely it won’t be three in a row. I just worry for Brighton’s attacking threat with Glenn Murray out of the picture, but they are organised, and hard to break down.
Betting Tips
Firstly, Burnley are 19/10 to win, the draw is 21/10 and a Brighton win is 7/4 with Betfair.
Man, I hope this is not another 0-0 draw. But, it could well be a draw with the last five league meetings between these two ending all square. Surely one of them has to break that run of draws?
If Glenn Murray is fit for this game, chuck in a Brighton win at 9/5 with BetVictor. If not, I have faith in the draw, and that is best priced at 11/5 with bet365!
