Man United v Arsenal – Match Preview and Betting Tips

Man United v Arsenal – Wed 5th Dec, 20:00, Old Trafford
Referee: Andre Marriner
Will Arsenal extend their unbeaten Premier League run to 13 matches in a row at Old Trafford tonight? On the form, it looks like a good bet for Arsenal to get something from this game.
The Gunners come off the back of an impressive 4-2 North London derby win against Spurs, in which they once again rallied in the second half to score three goals. It is a trend that has followed Arsenal for most of the season, mostly drawing at halftime then coming into their own in the second half.
United are getting a lot of stick, but they have only lost one game in their last five matches (3-1 to Man City), but they are dropping points in draws to Crystal Palace and Southampton. It is hard to know which United team will turn up tonight, with Pogba and Mourinho continually blaming each other.
Man United’s woes are mostly at the back with a shocking 23 goals conceded this season, leaving them as the sixth worst defence in the league conceding an average of 1.64 goals a game.
Even worse news for United fans, Lindelof is out while Shaw, Smalling, Bailly, Valencia and Darmian are all doubts for the game tonight. Also, Ashley Young is suspended for this game. Not a great time to face the leagues second best attack. Arsenal have scored 32 goals this Premier League season to an average of 2.29 goals a game.
I will never write off United, especially at Old Trafford, but things do not look good for them tonight.
Betting Tips
Firstly, Man United are 6/4 to win, the draw is 13/5 and an Arsenal win is 2/1.
To be honest, the Arsenal win has a great price at 2/1 with bet365. Yes, the Gunners have not won at Old Trafford since 2006, but things are very different for the two teams this season. This is Arsenal’s best chance to win here in quite some time.
For a safer bet, I like the look of Arsenal to win either half at 4/5 with Bethard. They usually turn it on in the second half, but I can even see them nicking it in the first half as United continue to concede early goals in games.
Lastly, I still think United will get on the scoresheet tonight, but I can see Arsenal scoring 3+ goals at the same time. An Arsenal win and over 3.5 goals is best priced at 6/1 with Betfred.
