Burnley v Liverpool – Match Preview and Betting Tips

Burnley v Liverpool – Wed 5th Dec, 19:45, Turf Moor
Referee: Stuart Attwell
Burnley have lost four of their last five matches, and are winless in eight matches. Can Liverpool make it four Premier League wins in a row tonight? Honestly, I do not see much hope for Burnley in this game.
The Reds are performing a lot better away from home this season, well in the Premier League that is. Their Champions League away form is as bad as it could possibly be. But, they remain unbeaten while winning five and drawing two.
Conversely, Burnley performed well both at Turf Moor and on the road last season. But, this season they are languishing down in 19th with just nine points while on a -16 goal difference.
Most worryingly, Burnley are conceding goals for fun this season at an average of 2.07 a match! Coming up against one of the best-attacking teams in the Premier League is going to be an issue tomorrow.
Also, Liverpool have the best defensive record this season, with just 5 goals conceded in 14 matches, but 4 of those goals have come on the road. Although, three of those goals came against Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal. Just conceding in each match against opposition that tough is nothing to be ashamed of.
Asides from that, the Reds defence has been solid against teams outside the top six with clean sheets against Watford, Huddersfield, Palace, Everton, Fulham and Southampton. Liverpool even managed to keep a clean sheet against Man City.
Betting Tips
Firstly, Liverpool are 1/4 to win, the draw is 5/1 and a Burnley win is 13/1. There is barely any value in the win market as I see a fairly comfortable Liverpool win.
I like the look of Liverpool to win both halves which is best priced at 17/10 with Unibet. Firstly, I do not see Burnley scoring a goal tomorrow night. But, Liverpool have scored all seven of their PL goals in the second half at Turf Moor.
However, Liverpool start games very fast, their high-intensity style will create chances in both halves. I am just hoping they can convert the chances they create. There is also value in Liverpool to win to nil which is at evens with BetVictor if you prefer that.
