West Ham v Cardiff – Match Preview and Betting Tips

West Ham v Cardiff – Tue 4th Dec, 19:45, London Stadium
Referee: Graham Scott
West Ham won comfortably against Newcastle at St James’ Park, but how will they fair in this match? I am expecting another routine win for the Hammers against a relegation favourite.
Yes, Cardiff have won two of their last three matches, but those wins were both at home. On the road, they are poor and have five and drawn one match. In fact, they have lost their last four away matches in a row while scoring just two goals in six away games.
The Hammers have been fairly inconsistent this season, but they are showing signs of a team capable of finishing in the top half of the table. They have lost just one of their last five games while winning two and drawing two.
Their last 3-0 win against Newcastle was particularly impressive as the Magpies had hit a bit of form with three wins in a row. The Hammers lost convincingly in their last home match against City, but they never fare too well against City and their team is just amazing at the moment.
I struggle to see this Cardiff City team causing many issues in this game, and I expect the Hammers will keep a clean sheet and score a goal or two. Felipe Anderson has scored four goals in his last four Premier League matches and will be a key danger man.
Betting Tips
Firstly, West Ham are 8/11 to win, the draw is 29/10 and a Cardiff win is 4/1.
I like the look of West Ham to win to Nil which is best priced at 2/1 with BetVictor. Cardiff have scored just twice on the road, and I struggle to see them scoring again tomorrow.
They will most likely look to frustrate West Ham, but I think the Hammers will break through with a goal or two. If not, I also like the look of under 2.5 goals which is best priced at evens with bet365.
Again, I can see a West Ham win, but a 1-0 or 2-0 scoreline looks likely. I like the West Ham 2-0 scoreline which is best priced at 8/1 with bet365.
