Liverpool v Everton – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Liverpool v Everton – Sun 2nd Dec, 16:15, Anfield
Referee: Chris Kavanagh
Can Everton spoil Liverpool’s unbeaten record in the Premier League? I struggle to see it happening at Anfield. Liverpool are on a current run of 17 matches without defeat against Everton in all competitions.
Yes, this is a stronger Everton squad than most of those games, but I still think they will struggle against Liverpool once again tonight. The Reds will be disappointed with their results in the Champions League as they now need to beat Napoli convincingly next matchday.
But, their form in the league has had no real issues, with the only dropped points coming against Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City. In fact, there form at Anfield is pretty damn good with ten clean sheets in their last eleven Premier League games. While winning nine and drawing two matches, Anfield truly is a fortress.
Also, Everton’s away form has been pretty patchy this season, with just one win on the road, three draws and two losses. I cannot see that form improving for this big derby game in which Liverpool has dominated for so long now.
Liverpool’s defensive record of just five goals conceded is very impressive, but Jurgen Klopp has never beaten Marco Silva in the Premier League with one loss and one draw so far. Will Klopp get his first victory against Silva this Sunday?
Firstly, Liverpool are a lowly 2/5 to win, the draw is 21/5 with Unibet and a shock Everton win is best priced at 8/1 with bet365. I do not see a lot of value in the match winner market, but I do see Liverpool winning.
I do like the look of Liverpool to win to nil, which is best priced at 7/5 with Unibet. Anfield is a tough place to visit, with ten clean sheets in their last eleven and Everton’s below average away record, this looks like good value.
I am swaying between a 2-0 or 3-0 correct scoreline for this derby. 2-0 is best priced at 27/4 with 10Bet while 3-0 is best priced at 37/4 with 10Bet!
