Cardiff v Wolves – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Cardiff v Wolves – Fri 30th November, 20:00, Cardiff City Stadium
Can Wolves stop their Premier league rut in the hard to visit Cardiff City Stadium? I think they will struggle on Friday night if they keep playing the way they are. In fact, I have seen a lot of bets on Wolves to be relegated at 50/1 since their disappointing home loss to Huddersfield.
But, I do not think this Wolves team will go down. There is quality in their squad, they just need to get their confidence back, and results will start flowing. Wolves have lost four of their last five Premier League games while drawing one.
However, their loss to Spurs was certainly undeserved, and they were unlucky to draw against Arsenal. But, their performance against a struggling Huddersfield side is certainly a worry for Wolves fans.
Cardiff are still favourites to get relegated this season, but they are tough to beat at home after impressive wins against Brighton and Fulham. Their transfer window was almost an indicator of their inevitable relegation after they were reserved in their spending compared to Fulham and Wolves.
But, they will be tough to beat in this game, and I fancy them in a double chance pick. Cardiff have been improving in their last five games, with just 1-0 losses against Leicester and Everton, while winning against Brighton and Fulham.
Wolves haven’t faired to well on the road this season with just two wins and four goals scored. Also, Cardiff have a history of getting the better of Wolves after winning four of their last six encounters.
I feel like Cardiff are underestimated in this clash as they sit at 3/4 for the win or draw double chance with bet365. Both of these teams are shrewd customers, and I cannot see this being a high-scoring open game. A Cardiff win or draw is certainly not out of the question.
With two wins and loss in their last three home games, Cardiff will go into this game full of confidence compared to a Wolves team that has lost four of their last five matches.
