Spurs v Inter Milan – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Spurs v Inter Milan – Wed 28th Nov, 20:00, Wembley Stadium
Will Tottenham’s new stadium be the only place in London to watch the Champions League? By the way, terrible advertising Spurs, just terrible. But, I think Tottenham can qualify through this group, despite how hard they have made it for themselves.
A crucial and dominant win against rivals Chelsea is exactly what the doctor ordered. Confidence will be high after such a convincing display against an unbeaten, bitter rival in the Premier League.
I did not think Spurs could put in such a strong performance against a top team, as I am used to the standard bottling job they usually provide. But, fair play to them. Tottenham have now won their last five games in a row in all competitions, but how will they fare against Inter?
If you watched the first leg at the San Siro, you should be optimistic for Spurs in this match. They dominated for most of the game, but slipped up in the late stages of the game and paid the ultimate price.
Hopefully, lessons are learnt, and Spurs will replicate a similar performance that against Chelsea tomorrow night. Inter Milan have been solid in Serie A this season, but they did lose their last away game 4-1 against Atalanta.
They have also lost away games to Barcelona and Sassuolo this season, but they have won the other five and are yet to draw on the road this season.
I do fancy Spurs in this game, and that is not usually the case. But, I can see Inter scoring as they have done in all but three of their games this season. Spurs are defending a bit better now, but the occasion and pressure will lead to a few mistakes. Inter certainly have the ability to punish this.
A Spurs win and btts is best priced at 12/5 with bet365. Spurs have only kept one clean sheet in their last five home games and that was against Cardiff. Not that impressive really.
