Burnley v Chelsea – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Burnley v Chelsea – Sun 28th Oct, 14:30, Turf Moor
Can Burnley win their first Premier League home game against Chelsea? I don’t think so. Chelsea have beaten Burnley at Turf Moor in three of their last four meetings with Burnley managing a 1-1 draw in 2017.
I am yet to be impressed by Burnley this season apart from their 4-0 hammering of Bournemouth a few weeks back. They followed that up with a disappointing 1-1 draw to Huddersfield and a 5-0 battering at the Ethiad.
On the other hand, Chelsea are unbeaten in their first nine matches with six wins and three draws. Although, the three draws have come in their last four matches. I think Chelsea will have far too much quality for Burnley to deal with, and it should be a fairly straightforward win for the Blues.
Hazard is a slight doubt for this game, but I think he will be back and fit. If he is, I can see him causing Burnley all kinds of problems. Burnley will have to be tight and disciplined in this game, but an early goal for Chelsea will all but ensure their victory.
Ross Barkley is a player to look out for in this match, having scored in his last two games. Also, Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored a hat-trick last night so could be in for a shout this weekend.
Chelsea have been solid away from home, winning three and drawing one so far. Worringly for Burnley fans, they have seen their team ship 17 goals in nine games this season which is odd for a team that was so compact and defensively impressive last season.
It is pretty hard to find value in this game and I don’t want to force anything. But, Chelsea to score over 1.5 goals is best priced at 1/2 with BetVictor.
I also like the look of over 2.5 goals which is best priced at 5/6 with Betfair. I can see Chelsea scoring three goals if they get one in the first half. But, I also see Burnley getting a goal as they have done in their last three Premier League games against the Blues.
