Leicester v West Ham – Match Preview and Betting Tips

Leicester v West Ham – Sat 27th Oct, 17:30, King Power Stadium
If Leicester starts with the same intensity in the first half against Arsenal they could finish this game early on. They played really well in that half, giving Arsenal barely anytime on the ball, and forcing big saves from Bernd Leno.
The Hammers will be devastated to lose Yarmolenko to a serious Achilles injury as he looks set to be out for the majority of the season. West Ham are joint top in the injury list with seven players out now. West Ham has a serious shortage of midfield players available with Obiang, Lanzini, Wilshere and Sanchez all out at the moment.
Leicester played a 3-4-1-2 formation against Arsenal and dominated the midfield for most of the first half. If they play a similar formation, Leicester will once again dominate the midfield and most likely the game.
West Ham make it difficult to predict their games with a lot of inconsistency in their performances. But, they are fairly consistent in losing on the road. Asides from the shock Everton win they have lost the other three matches on the road.
This poor away form goes back to last season too, with just three wins, six draws and ten losses in the 17/18 campaign. But, they did beat Leicester in this fixture last season.
Both teams are on a two-game losing streak but it is more worrying for West Ham. They have lost both of those games without scoring. In fact, now Yarmolenko is out, they only have two goalscorers in their team with just Arnautovic and Felipe Anderson scoring goals this season. Between them, they have just five goals.
Betting Tips
Firstly, I see good value in a Leicester win which is best priced at 6/5 with 10Bet. I can see West Ham popping in with a goal as Leicester struggle to keep a clean sheet. But, I can also see Leicester scoring two or more as they overload the Hammers in midfield.
This has the makings of a fairly high-scoring affair and I see value in BTTS and over 2.5 goals which is best priced at 11/8 with William Hill. As I mentioned, it’s hard to know which West Ham team will turn up on Saturday. But, they have got the ability to score a goal with the dangerous Arnautovic most likely to pop up.
I can see a 2-1 Leicester result but it could go either way. One thing is for sure, I do not see this game ending in a draw (watch the draw land now).
Got 0-0 written all over it.
0-0 is best priced at 10/1 with Royal Panda if you fancy it, James…
