Can Cardiff win their first PL match against a Fulham side that hasn’t kept a clean sheet in 23 PL away matches? I am not sure about the win, but I think it could be an entertaining, high-scoring match. Fun fact, the last top-flight win for Cardiff in this stadium was Fulham back in March 2014.
Fulham should go on to get something from this game, but their defence just looks so bad it’s hard to back them. They made some cracking signings this summer, but how can you concede so many goals and expect to stay up? They have a -12 goal difference, with Cardiff and Huddersfield being just behind on -13. Right now, it looks like the three teams to go down, well at least Cardiff and Huddersfield.
If Fulham don’t improve their defence sometime soon, they will be joining them in relegation. They have conceded a total of 21 goals in eight games while conceding 2+ goals in 7 of their 8 games.
I think this game has the potential to be quite entertaining. Warnock surely has to change his gameplan and attack this Fulham side as they are desperate for three points.
