Cardiff v Fulham – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Cardiff v Fulham – Sat 20th Oct, 15:00, Cardiff City Stadium, Ref: Kevin Friend
Can Cardiff win their first PL match against a Fulham side that hasn’t kept a clean sheet in 23 PL away matches? I am not sure about the win, but I think it could be an entertaining, high-scoring match. Fun fact, the last top-flight win for Cardiff in this stadium was Fulham back in March 2014.
Fulham should go on to get something from this game, but their defence just looks so bad it’s hard to back them. They made some cracking signings this summer, but how can you concede so many goals and expect to stay up? They have a -12 goal difference, with Cardiff and Huddersfield being just behind on -13. Right now, it looks like the three teams to go down, well at least Cardiff and Huddersfield.
If Fulham don’t improve their defence sometime soon, they will be joining them in relegation. They have conceded a total of 21 goals in eight games while conceding 2+ goals in 7 of their 8 games.
I think this game has the potential to be quite entertaining. Warnock surely has to change his gameplan and attack this Fulham side as they are desperate for three points.
Ryan Sessegnon is a player to look out for in this game, he has a goal in each of his four matches for Fulham against Cardiff in all competitions. He is best priced at 6/1 to score anytime with Betfred and I will be putting this one on for the value I see here.
To start, I like the look of both teams to score which is best priced at 9/13 with 10Bet. Now, I am not sure who will score for Cardiff, but I struggle to see Fulham keeping them out with their shoddy defence.
However, Fulham should be able to get something from this game with the players they have in their team. I like the look of BTTS match result Fulham which is best priced at 9/2 with William Hill.
