Leicester v Everton – Match Preview and Betting Tips

Leicester v Everton – Sat 6th Oct, 15:00, King Power Stadium
Leicester are starting to look pretty good this season, with James Maddison providing a creative spark which many feared would be lost after Mahrez moved to Man City. Vardy is still banging in goals, with three in his last five appearances, which has led to the Foxes winning four PL games and losing three.
But, they have now won two matches back to back, with a solid 2-0 win over Newcastle in their last match. Everton surprised me at the weekend and managed to keep a clean sheet against Fulham while scoring three goals. I thought that match was textbook BTTS, but Fulham certainly had their chances.
But, Everton did just lose their last match in the Carabao Cup against Southampton, and I think they will struggle once again in this match. Although I do see both teams getting on the scoresheet.
Marco Silva’s Everton are yet to produce the results their transfers would have suggested. They have won just two games in their first seven league games while conceding 11 goals in the process. It is hard to know if Everton will get something from this game, as soon as they concede it all goes a bit wrong for them.
Leicester are having similar issues at the back and have conceded ten times in the league so far. But, they have kept two clean sheets in their last two matches in all competitions.
Betting Tips
Both teams have more than enough going forward to get a goal in this match. With defensive fragility in both teams, and more than enough talent going forward, both teams to score looks good value at 3/4 with Betfair.
Two of Leicester’s three home matches have seen both teams score while Everton have seen BTS in three of their four away games. With the attacking talent on display, both teams should get a goal in this one and I see it being a high scoring, entertaining fixture.
I think Leicester could get something from this game, but it’s hard to know whether Everton will turn up or not. For that reason, I see value in Leicester scoring over 1.5 goals which is best priced at 6/5 with Royal Panda.
Leicester have scored over 1.5 goals in three of their last four PL games, while Everton have conceded two or more goals in their last five away matches in all competitions.
