Huddersfield v Spurs – Match Preview and Betting Tips

Huddersfield have a serious case of second season syndrome, but will they score their first home goal of the season tomorrow? It doesn’t look great for them. Spurs kept two clean sheets against the Terriers last season while scoring six goals.
If Huddersfield played Spurs a few weeks ago they might have had a chance. Their morale was low, and it was clear to see. After their 2-1 away victory to Brighton and qualifying in the Carabao Cup, Spurs will be full of confidence.
The Terriers are the opposite, with no wins yet as they sit rock bottom and haven’t scored a goal in their last five home matches. Spurs have actually been in decent form away from home, have already beaten United, Brighton and Newcastle.
Spurs will look to sure up their defensive issues, and get back to keeping a clean sheet in this one. It’s hard to see Huddersfield getting a goal here unless Spurs concede another goal from a set piece.
Betting Tips
Spurs always manage to break teams down eventually, failing to score in just one of their last 32 away matches in the Premier League. The biggest issue for Spurs in this one is their lack of goalkeeping options. Both Vorm and Lloris look set to be out, so they will have to rely on Paulo Gazzaniga who impressed against Watford as he saved two penalties in the Carabao Cup tie.
We don’t think Huddersfield will get too many opportunities to test Gazzaniga, but he looks good enough to do the job in this one. Spurs to win to nil is best priced at 23/17 with Unibet.
The way Huddersfield have been defending, it could be three or four for Spurs in this one. So a nice -1 at 7/9 with BetVictor could also be a decent bet.
