Fulham vs Watford – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Fulham vs Watford – Sat, 22nd Sep, 12:30, Craven Cottage, Ref: Martin Atkinson
Both teams will be looking to bounce back after defeats last time out. Fulham were dominated by City at the Etihad 3-0, and Watford came close in a 1-2 loss against United at Vicarage Road. Looking at this game, one thing looks certain, goals.
Despite that loss, Watford have looked very impressive so far and came very close to equalising, if it wasn’t for an excellent save from De Gea late on. The Hornets are up against a team that just cannot keep a clean sheet this season. Fulham have conceded at least two goals in every match so far, with a total of 12 goals in five games.
Watford had scored two or more goals in every match, up until the 2-1 loss to United last week. But, we think they will be just as clinical against a Fulham side that will struggle to keep them out.
Betting Tips
Fulham won their last home match 4-2, against a quite frankly terrible Burnley. They are looking for back to back wins here, but we struggle to see that happening. But, we see it being a high scoring affair, with BTTS and over 2.5 goals looking decent value at evens with BoyleSports.
We see real value in a Watford Draw No Bet, at 11/10 with Paddy Power. Watford were really unlucky not to get something from the United match, and are in terrific form after winning their first four matches.
Troy Deeney has scored four goals in two league appearances against Fulham, including a hat-trick at Craven Cottage in 2014. He is best priced at 27/11 to score anytime.
Of course, we fancy Mitrovic to get on the scoresheet too. He has been in great form for club and country and will want to get back to scoring ways after a disappointing time at City. He is best priced at 7/5 to score anytime with Betway.
