Wolves vs Burnley – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Wolves vs Burnley – Sun 16th Sep, 13:30, Molineux Stadium, Ref: Andre Marriner
Burnley are now without a win in their last nine Premier League matches in a row. Can they get three points at Molineux? We think not. Wolves were tipped to crack into the top end of the table, but it has not been a great start for them so far.
After a late equaliser to draw against the ten men of Everton in the first game of the season, Wolves lost to Leicester away 2-0. But, they did bounce back with an impressive 1-1 draw against Man City, and a solid away win against West Ham 1-0.
Wolves haven’t quite clicked yet, but have a lot of talent in their squad. After beating West Ham, we think Wolves will be up for this match, and score at least one.
Burnley are in rotten form at the moment. Crashing out of the Europa League playoffs and losing their last three Premier League matches. In their nine previous PL matches, they have lost six and drawn three. To make matters worse, Burnley have never won an away match against a promoted team. They have six draws and four losses against newly promoted teams on the road.
Even more worrying, Burnley have gone from a solid defensive unit to leaking goals in every match apart from a bore-draw against Southampton. They have conceded 11 goals in five games so far, which is certainly a concern.
Betting Tips
Wolves look pretty good value for the win at 4/5 with Betfred. But, Burnley’s terrible run hasn’t been helped with the Europa League matches, and they have played double the amount of games as Wolves this season.
The international break has come at a great time for Burnley. Their players have looked tired in recent matches, most likely due to their highly demanding schedule and not enough depth in their squad.
I think we will see a different Burnley come out at Molineux, and I am backing them to get a goal in this one. BTTS is best priced at 5/4 with Betfair.
A correct score outside bet of 1-1 is our last pick, which is best priced at 6/1 with Betfair.
