Watford vs Man United – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Watford vs Man United – Sat 15th Sep, 17:30, Vicarage Road, Ref: Mike Dean
Can Watford make if five wins in a row? No, we don’t think so, maybe if it was the early kickoff… But, it will be closer than United fans would like. Watford are certainly impressing right now, especially after their 2-1 victory over Spurs in their last match.
Watford have scored at least two goals in every match so far, and are in perfect form to face a United team in which they have lost 12 of their last 13 meetings. The Hornets are looking very good, but it’s a hard game to call. You can never write off Mourinho or United, and they got back on track last week with a comfortable 2-0 win over Burnley.
The international break may have come at a good time for United though. Time to work on some defensive issues and get the tactics right for this game. Apart from the head injury to Luke Shaw, Lukaku continued his fine scoring form with another two goals in a Belgium shirt. They will be coming into this match feeling good, but United’s defence is still in question.
Diego Dalot could feature in this match, after playing in a Premier League 2 match recently. Along with Rojo who could be fit for this match. The defensive lineup could be the biggest issue for United in this game, as they do not look that comfortable at the back.
Rashford is obviously out, as he begins his three-match ban after the red card at Burnley.
Betting Tips
Realistically, this will be a big blow for United’s title hopes if they lose this match. Mourinho will know this, and it will most likely reflect in his team selection for this match. We do not think Watford will get the win here, but we could see it ending as a draw.
If United’s big players decide to turn up, they could be in for a solid away win at Vicarage Road. Lukaku is obviously in fine scoring form and full of confidence. If he does score in this fixture, he will have reached 20 goals for United in just 39 matches.
Alexis Sanchez is a big fan of this fixture, he has had a hand in six goals in five PL appearances against Watford, with three goals and two assists. In fact, he has scored in both of his matches at Vicarage Road. Sanchez is 9/4 with Unibet to score anytime if you fancy it.
Our first tip is anytime goal scorer Lukaku at 6/4 with BetVictor. We expect him to continue his fine scoring form with another goal in this match.
With all things considered, we think Watford’s fine run will come to an end this Saturday, and we are tipping a BTTS match result United at 3/1 with Betfred.
