Everton vs West Ham – Match Preview and Betting Tips
Everton vs West Ham – Sun 16th Sep, 16:00, Goodison Park, Ref: Martin Atkinson
Will West Ham pick up their first point/points of this season at Goodison? The stats and history would say yes. But, current form suggests no. Everton have drawn three and won one so far this season.
However, the Toffees have only won one of their last 12 Premier League matches on a Sunday. Drawing 2 and losing an incredible nine matches, with their last loss on a Sunday coming at the hands of West Ham 3-1 back in May.
Similarly, West Ham’s Sunday form is not much better. Apart from that one win against Everton, they have drawn five and lost nine of their last 15 away PL matches on a Sunday. It’s truly a battle of who’s got the worse form on a Sunday.
Asides from the history, it shouldn’t affect this game too much. Despite the Hammers signing a number of talented players, spending around £100m and bringing in a respected manager in Pellegrini. They sit bottom with zero points this season.
Even worse, they deserve to sit there. They have looked pretty bad in every aspect of the game, and a trip to Goodison is not the test they want right now.
Everton will have to make do without Richarlison, as he is ban finishes after this match. But, they will look to Theo Walcott who loves playing the Hammers. He has scored six PL goals against West Ham, more than against any other team. Walcott is best priced at 12/5 with Betway to score anytime.
There is still a worry this game will end as a draw, or at the very least, West Ham gets an away goal. Everton have conceded in every game so far, including a cup game against Rotherham.
BTTS represents little value with the best odds at 5/7 with 10Bet. But, we think Everton will score a few goals and go on to win this match. Therefore, BTTS match result, Everton at 3/1 with Betfred looks very tasty indeed.
