Everton vs Huddersfield | Premier League – Matchweek 4 of 38 Betting Preview and Tips
Everton vs Huddersfield – Sat 1st Sep, 15:00, Goodison Park
It has been a tough start for Huddersfield so far. The first two matches against Man City and Chelsea were almost as hard as it gets. Conceding six will be a huge blow though, in a relegation race where goal difference could prove a determining factor down the line.
Everton will be looking for their second home win in a row after doing the double against Huddersfield last season. In those comfortable 2-0 wins both home and away last season when Everton wasn’t exactly playing inspiring football. Unluckily for the Terriers, Sam Allardyce’s managerial debut for Everton was against them. More often than not, a new manager will win their first game.
What is more worrying for Wagner’s Huddersfield is that Everton are looking a lot better than they were last season. Even with the defensive line-up shaking up, and the error’s that have come with that.
Richarlison will again be the main danger man for Everton as they look much better going forward this season. They have averaged around two goals and game but are conceding around 1.5 so there is room to exploit for the Terriers.
I know the 6-1 scoreline doesn’t paint a pretty picture in their last away match, but they were up against a mind-blowingly strong Man City team. Do they even need KDB? Yeah, I am sure they do, but they are coping fine without him so far.
Huddersfield hasn’t exactly shown that they can stay up this season, and we expect it to be fairly comfortable for Everton in this fixture. Especially when you look at their strong form at Goodison compared to the Terriers away record in general. They managed just three wins and five draws last season away from home, whilst scoring only 12 goals and conceding a whopping 33.
Everton to win is best priced at 11/20 with BetVictor.
