Bournemouth vs Everton | Premier League – Matchweek 3 of 38 Betting Preview and Tips
Bournemouth vs Everton, Sat 25th Aug, 15:00, Vitality Stadium, Ref: Lee Probert
An exciting match-up that usually leads to a fair few goals, with the three previous meetings having a total of 15 goals between them. The last two matches have featured a 2-1 scoreline in favour of the home team each time. Will we see it follow the trend of the home team leaving with all three points, or can Everton inspire their first away win of the season?
Bournemouth has had an excellent start to their season with back to back wins both at home (Cardiff) and away (West Ham) scoring two goals in each. We have been impressed with the Cherries so far and especially Callum Wilson who is in fine form in front of goal. Most recently an excellent solo effort evading challenges with four West Ham players around him to then slot home past Fabianski.
Everton has had a good start to the season too, with Richarlison showing signs to justify his £40m price tag. But, defensively they could improve. Especially in their marking of set-pieces. Zonal marking led directly to one goal and a number of good chances where Saints players were not picked up.
The Toffees did look great going forward though and should have had a third if Walcott didn’t pull his shot from close range wide. We expect a close game which could be full of goals this weekend. Richarlison has been a clear danger man for Everton with three goals in the past two games.
Betting Tips
Everton last season away record just three wins, 6 draws and 10 losses. Only managing 16 goals whilst conceding 36 all season. To make things worse, the Cherries are unbeaten in their last three home PL matches against Everton.
It is hard to call a winner in this game, but we are expecting a high number of goals. Four of their last five head to head games have finished over 2.5 goals with a crazy nine-goal thriller in 2017 at the Vitality Stadium. Our first tip will be over 2.5 goals with Betfair at 4/5 or BTTS at 8/13 with William Hill.
Everton’s away record was pretty shambolic last season, but we do expect it to improve here. We can’t see it being enough for a win, but a BTTS match result draw at 17/5 with BetVictor.
