Can Huddersfield once again, be the only side to frustrate City at home and keep a clean sheet? Probably not. But, by some miracle, they managed to stop this rampant City squad from scoring at home even though they averaged 2.79 goals a game last season.
City cruised past Arsenal at the Emirates last week with a cracking strike (thanks to his gun tattoo…) in the 18th minute from Raheem Sterling. Then, a decent effort to double their lead from Bernado Silva (thanks for the fantasy points) to win 2-0 quite comfortably. Arsenal managed just 9 goal attempts with only 3 on target all match and looked subdued for long periods of the game.
Huddersfield had a tough time against Chelsea at home last week and we expect more of the same on Sunday. Wagner did experiment with a back three last weekend (strange time to try something new) which clearly didn’t work as they were convincingly dismantled, with Kante even getting on the score-sheet.
Betting Tips
Huddersfield struggled away from home last season with just three wins in 19 away games. They did manage to draw five games though. With two of them being big teams in City 0-0, and Chelsea 1-1.
However, it is very unlikely they will manage a clean sheet this time around or even a draw. City were prolific scorers in most of their home games, scoring at least three goals in 13 of their 19 home games. With some big wins against Liverpool 5-0, Spurs 4-1, Stoke 7-2, and Leicester 5-1.
For obvious reasons, there isn’t great value in a Man City win. In fact, the best odds sit at a crazy short 1/10. We are halfway tempted to put on Huddersfield or draw at a mad 8-1 with Unibet… But, best not.
