West Ham vs Bournemouth | Premier League – Matchweek 2 of 38 Betting Preview and Tips
West Ham vs Bournemouth – Sat 18th August, Kick Off 15:00, London Stadium
Stuart Attwell will be in charge of the Hammers first home game of the 18/19 Premier League season. It is hard to judge the Pellegrini effect after their display against Liverpool. Any team that goes to Anfield in recent history struggles. Liverpool went the whole of last season without a defeat at home, but they did draw a few too many games.
West Ham struggled throughout the whole match and was set up almost perfectly for Liverpool’s devastating attacking style. Their high line and static defending led to the front three of Liverpool breaking through with ease. A strange set up indeed, against a team that thrives at making dangerous, penetrating runs through the back line.
Bournemouth claimed their first opening-weekend victory in the Premier League, beating Cardiff 2-0 with Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson both on the score sheet. It was a fairly comfortable game for the Cherries, dominating large periods of the game and allowing just one shot on target from Cardiff. Bournemouth will have a much tougher time at the London Stadium, but we anticipate a close affair.
Betting Tips
The two teams are well balanced in their head to head meetings. In the last six, they have two wins apiece and two draws. Bournemouth loves a goal against the Hammers scoring 12 in total, which is more than they have against any other side in the league.
Callum Wilson will be a player to look out for in this match. The striker has scored four goals in his last four league appearances against the Hammers and got on the score-sheet against Cardiff last weekend. We like the look of the best odds for anytime goalscorer Callum Wilson at 11/5 with Betway.
We can also see West Ham getting a goal or two but like the look of a BTTS draw match result at 18/5 with BetVictor. The last two matches between these two have featured BTTS draws finishing 1-1 and 3-3.
This game will also be in our BTTS acca at 9/13 with 10Bet. Part of our BTTS four-fold of this match, Leicester vs Wolves (13/15) Cardiff vs Newcastle (11/10) and Chelsea vs Arsenal (9/13) at 11.22 with 10Bet.
