Wolves vs Everton | Premier League – Matchday 1 of 38 Betting Preview
Wolves vs Everton – Sat 11th August. Kick Off: 18:30.Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton.
Wolves are coming into this new Premier League season with some hype. On the back of a dominating promotion campaign that saw them pick up 99 points whilst scoring a total of 82 goals. Their promotion came as no surprise with oversea’s funding bringing in a handful of very talented players. Ruben Neves came in to sure up their midfield whilst Leo Bonatini, Diogo Jota and Ivan Cavaleiro provided the goals.
Wolves have continued to impress in their transfer dealings. Most notably signing Adama Traore for a club record £20 million and a solid midfield addition in Joao Moutinho. Also, permanently signing last season loanees with other potential transfers still coming on the last day of the window.
They have had a mixed pre-season with three wins, two draws and one loss in their last six matches. But, it is 10x better than the nightmare pre-season Everton has endured. They have lost their last five games in a row, with heavy defeats to Blackburn (3-0), Lille (5-3), Rennes (4-1) and most recently Valencia (3-2) which was a little bit better.
Everton finally got their man Marco Silva, after a controversial pursuit during the season in which Ronald Coman had already spent around £150m on squad improvements. Everton has made some questionable transfers with the likes of Davy Klaassen (sold for £12m this window) and Micheal Keane for £20m+ each last season. Whilst continuing this crazy trend of overinflated prices, with the transfer of Richarlison from Watford for £40m+
Now, there is no denying Richarlison is a decent young talent. But £40m. Really? But, they have made some decent signing is Lucas Digne from Barca and potentially Yerry Mina if they can push it through today.
Betting Tips
Wolves haven’t lost a game at home in their last 10 matches and we do not think they will lose this Saturday. Conversely, Everton has lost their last three away matches and have conceded 15 goals in their last five games.
Firstly, we like the look of over 2.5 match goals at 11/10 with Betway. But, also fancy both teams to score match result for Wolves at 19/5 with Betfred. Or add it to a double of BTTS match result with Bournemouth and Wolves at 21.00 with William Hill.
