Premier League Review: Week 27

Premier League is like always one of the most entertaining league there are. And when you have Klopp, Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, Conte and Arsene Wenger competing against each other it can never be more interesting.

Manchester United were first out of the top six teams to play Bournemouth at Old Trafford. A game which in hand was supposed to be easy but became anything else than easy. It started off well though for the Red Devils who took the lead after Rojo succeeded to flick Lindgaards low cross into the goal. But just before halftime King managed to equal the score. Now in the second half Manchester showed us another side then we are used to. They had chance after chance without anyone actually converting the chances into goals. Pogba had maybe the best chance and with a pricetag of more than 93 million pound chasing you, those chances should be goals. Then Mings and Zlatan Ibrahimovic started to take on each other. First the Swede was mad at him for using his arms and brought him down. Mings answered by stamping Ibrahimovic on the head after a duel. The Swede gave the finishing punch as he used his elbow to take down Mings during a corner. The Swede also missed a penalty and the game ended 1-1 and FA has now decided to suspend Zlatan for three games.

Liverpool played against Arsenal at Anfield. Were the biggest shock was given to us before the kickoff. Arsene Wenger decided to start with Welbeck and Giroud on top and keeping Sanchez, his goalscrorer, on the bench. And because of such a stupid call he had to pay a high price. With no threat against Liverpool back four they could control the game just the way Jurgen Klopp loves to do. Firmino scored the first goal within nine minutes and Mane added the second just before halftime. Wenger now had to give up his stupid idea of benching Sanchez and the Chilean entered directly after halftime. Welbeck scored a reducer and that was all for Arsenal. Liverpool managed to score a third and final goal during the last minutes of the game through Winjaldum. Another three points for Klopp who´s team loves to take points from the topflight teams while losing to the bottom clubs.

Tottenham were next to play and they were up against Everton at White hart Lane. The two topscorers were facing each other, Harry Kane with 17 goals and Lukaku with the same amount of goals. It was Harry Kane that also took the charge from beginning scoring twice, the first after 20 minutes and the second 10 minutes into the second half. Lukaku was able to put in a reducer but Alli scored the third. Valencia managed to score for Everton but it was too late to mean anything and Tottenham won with 3-2 and Harry Kane overtook Lukaku to now become the Premier Leagues topscorer with 19 goals.

City played against the Sunderland who are still under the relegation zone. A game in where Sane and Aguero scored each a goal and Manchester City managed to keep a clean sheet. Three important points in the pursuit of the leader Chelsea who seems unstoppable right now. The London side took on West Ham United in a Londonderby. Like many other times it was also the Blues who were the strongest team and managed to take all three points after goal from Diego Costa and Eden Hazard. Conte seems to have built an unstoppable force that destroys everything in its way.

Chelsea remains the leaders with 66 points, 10 down to second placed Tottenham. Manchester City are third with 55 points and one game in hand. Liverpools win means they are up to fourth place with 52 points, two more than Arsenal who also have a game in hand. United remains as always on the sixths spot with 49 points, only three points up to fourth Liverpool and they also have one game less played.
